we are officaly a non profit not a 501 c3 yet but a non profit. every thing else is retroactive so... Company Name: THE NEW SHIRE INSTITUTE UBI Number: 602-803-645 Effective date: 2/8/2008. Application ID: 1052701 You will receive a certificate and a copy of your filed documents via US Mail.

We need $750. This is how much it costs to become a 501c3 if we expect to make more then $10,000 in a calender year. so... We need people to bring in traffic to the site so that we can make money off of adds.

Yeah we do need to generate some traffic. But I believe with an organized focused effort we can bring that kind of activity to this website. We just need our supporters to do their job and dig our articles, and tell their friends about us.

Am I correct in assuming the SHIRE Institute is to be organized as a "Private Operating Foundation" devoting most of its earnings and assets directly to the conduct of its tax exempt purposes (scientific research and teaching methods of maintaining a high standard of living in a sustainable manner?) ok ok so I need to read the charter....

We are a nonprofit cooperation that is trying to be a charity. We are in the process of getting Charitable status. I will post more as it develops. When we get Charitable status we will have been a charity since march 2008.
