a declaration of independance from civilization as we know it
a constitution for the S.H.I.R.E.
and a bill of rights

i have been struggling while writing my articles and also while noticing the train of thoughts happening on the forum, and the truth is, if we want to develop the SHIRE as we dreamed it and not as a watered down version, we need the foundation. lets build the foundation this spring.

I like it... A deceleration that we are working towards a sustainable future and can't afford to work with organizations that are not. we must create the infrastructure to help people that are committed to that type of future.

um...separationism? haven't really seen that many awesome separationist communities. how bout a declaration of dependence too, just because there's not really a reason to do any of this if we are independent from everything. or instead of declaration of independence, declaration of individuality. something that speaks of our disagreement with certain aspects of society but embraces other aspects. we need to accept the ills of society in order to change them, not reject them and pretend we are 'independent' from them. don't blow up the dam, man. totally agree with constitution and bill of rights.

yes! i like it. declaration of interdependence...we are an autonomous entity with goals that diverge from the negative trends of society. However we are dependent on the wider community for support, ideas, collaboration, etc. Thus we are part of society as well because of our goal to help improve all habitats by looking towards sustaining humankind permanently.

just starting to think more concretely about foundations. following are some articles on doi. what do people think about a bill of rights and responsibilities? something like we each have the right to an opinion and a responsibility to express it effectively...i dunno seems like rights should come with responsibilities...
