Monica Scheerer

Creative Director

Monica Scheerer is a nomadic musician and artist, originally from upstate New York. She has settled for the time being at The Shire, to bring a force of creativity to the community while working to promote sustainability and a green life style.

She is interested in networking the many intentional, sustainable communities around the country through her travels, and infusing her love of art, music, and dance into any environment she walks into. She has a history of fine arts and dance education, as well as a strong background in performance art.

She is developing an album of music she's composed while traveling, and has further travel plans ranging from Colorado and out to Washington state in the coming year. She hopes to explore other similar communities and organizations along the way and to continue helping, creating, and learning from conscious and motivated individuals.
