The Superheroes are on the move. Forget flying. With all the radiation in the air, they bike. The last time we saw them in action, they were in Texas, starting their December ride in Austin working at the Hundred Acre Wood.
They had so much fun in Texas that four of the Superheroes--Wild Yeast, Infinity Man, Raccoon, and Stardust--stayed around town for the spring, pollinating Austin and spreading the love. In Austin, they made a big splash in the permaculture/ag-tivist/farmers market community and cultivated another Hero: the SHIRE's own Elizabeth Burke.
After weeks of training and gathering supplies, Lizz--alias Bright Sky--found Stardust (pictured left) farming around, ready to ride. The two of them hitched North fully loaded over two weeks ago, met friends and fellow Superheroes along the way, and stopped at the Possibility Alliance in La Plata, Missouri. Now, the Superheroes are back in action in Iowa with the Haul of Justice for June starting at Mustard Seed Farm Community. With a training session on the Superheroes' Ecological Gift Economy, they are ready to shine and fill Iowa with hope and generosity. They turn so many heads that they were featured in the Ames Tribune this morning. Ride on Superheroes. Do the work that needs to be done. Let us all rejoice and celebrate the Superheroes and all their deeds. Last update: June 24, 2011 05:55 am
