There's no sense delaying the news; I'll get straight to it. The New SHIRE Institute is taking its first field trip. Destination: Washington D.C. and the hoard of sane and/or fearful people who will gather on the National Mall on October 30th. That's right, the SHIRE "will be attending" the Rally to Restore Sanity AND March to Keep Fear Alive.
Reddit sent out the call to rally, and the Stewart Colbert camp answered. The SHIRE is getting in on the action. Our residents are taking the 1500 mile journey, from the capital of Texas to the capital of the Nation - the Colbert Nation. We want to take you along, pick you up on the way, or see you when we get there. If you need a ride, check our field trip permission slip. And don't forget our release form. All this excitement raises a new question: how are we getting there? Conundrum solved. There just happens to be a decked out bus sitting in our community area, complete with bed, stove, and shower. It just needs new tires, some minor repairs, and a spank on the exhaust and we're ready to roll. During October we'll be launching a fund-raising and awareness initiative to make sure we roll up to the Mall in style. We might even construct a ye- ah, but I've said too much. Stay tuned, fellow guerilla solutionaries. Last update: September 27, 2010 09:23 am
