Art. Music. Dancing. Community. Sustainability. Its all happening this weekend--Outside!--at Apache Pass in Downtown Texas for the 6th annual ART OUTSIDE. This "community-based temporary art show" is a distilled microcosm of the beautifully diverse happenings of the Austin scene and is an event not to be missed.
The New SHIRE Institute is sponsoring the eco/sustainability area. We're heading out this Wednesday to green the space, building a yurt, decorating the stage, and preparing materials for workshops. Nick Moser, Braden DeLoney, Gustavo Martinez, and myself will be speaking about sustainability solutions on Saturday and Sunday. All of us will be working to energize the festival and fulfill the Green Mission. We're implementing a Carbon Offset program, and with the donations received, we'll be purchasing trees to plant at the festival grounds. You can donate online on the sustainability page and at the event. Art Outside is an amazing opportunity to work and party, educate and celebrate. Join the fun.
